Street artists, Anderson Augusto, also known as, SAO, and Leonardo Delafuente, aka Delafuente collaborated on a street art project known as 6emeia. The dynamic duo hoped to cheer-up the otherwise drab and colorless streets comprised of elements such as light posts, manhole covers, fire hydrants, and numerous storm drains.
They hope to make the daily work drudge walk for the residents of the city more exciting, and perhaps lend some cheer to their existence. Their new paintings hope to bring art, and creative thought, directly to each denizen of the city without them having to seek out art. The stylized urban elements tell a story that each Sao Paolo resident can observe, interact, enjoy, think about and take with them throughout their day – or hopefully, relaxing them on their walk home. No longer are these elements to avoid, but rather can bring out a smile for adults and children.
