
When I was a kid in little league, I had a routine I would follow every time I got up to bat. I planted my feet in the batter’s box a certain way, took two line-up swings, then tilted my head slightly for just the right view of the pitcher. Working through the steps helped me relax and overcome some of the uncertainty with hitting the ball.
Today, I have a web design process for the same reasons. It frees my mind from the basics of the layout so I can relax and be more creative. From blank screen to web design, these are the steps I follow to spin the five design elements of a website into a compelling layout.
