Video Game Inspired Fan Art that are so Imba!

In our generation, everyone has his/her favorite video game. From classics such as Mario and Mega Man to all time-favorite rpg and strategy game series like Starcraft, Warcraft, Diablo and Final Fantasy, fans have embraced the story, characters and the unique worlds where these games take place. Through the years, graphic artists have been borrowing elements from these video games and using them as inspiration for their art. With the help of their imagination, fans are able to transcend their favorite characters, placing them in pictures so wicked cool that even the creators of the game are impressed. These derivative but nonetheless brilliant works are called Fan Art.

Similar to Fan Fiction, Fan Art is a form of fan labor primarily made for fellow fans and not for monetary compensation. The video games that artists use as inspiration are copy-right protected which limits the publishing chances for their derivative works. Still, video game inspired Fan Art continues to rise in popularity among fans all over the world. By designing and sharing their game-inspired works, fans are able contribute to the legacy of older games as well as help out in hyping those that are yet to be released.
